HuffPost Celebrity reports that Soror Mellody Hobson and filmmaker George Lucas (Star Wars, Red Tails) are now engaged. Soror Hobson and Lucas have been dating for seven years.
Soror Hobson is an honorary member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She was recently inducted into the organization along with actress Holly Robinson Peete, Susanne Malveaux, and Carolyn Maull McKinstry.
Soror Hobson is a PRETTY powerful and inspirational woman to say the least. She has served as the president and a director of Ariel Investments, LLC, a Chicago-based investment management firm, since 2000 and as the chairman since 2006, and a trustee since 1993 of the mutual funds it manages. She is also on the board of directors of several companies including, Groupon Inc, Estee Lauder Cos Inc, The Starbucks Corporation, and Dreamworks Animation SKG, Inc. Soror Hobson also appears as a financial contributor regularly on ABC’s Good Morning America.
No date or location for the wedding has been made public, but “Congratulations” are definitely in order!!! From the style and grace exhibited by Soror Hobson, we are sure the ceremony will be sophisticated and fabulous. Skee Wee Soror! We with you much success in your new marriage!
