Today, Soror Rosa Parks, born Rosa McCauley on Feb. 4, 1913, in Tuskegee, Ala., is celebrated for her 100th birthday. After being named a criminal, a nuisance, and everything in between, Soror Parks was championed for her refusal to give in to White supremacy and her dedication to the upliftment of her people.
As members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, we continuously commemorate bold women who continue to make LEAPS and BOUNDS and are first in their fields. First to speak, first to serve, and first to ACT!
