Happy Birthday Soror Olivia Cole

Join us in wishing Happy Birthday to one of the most effervescent sorors with poise, style, and grace, Ms. Olivia Cole.

Soror Cole was born in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Arvelia and William Cole. She was the first African-American actress to be nominated for and subsequently win an Emmy Award. Her television credits include “The Guiding Light”, “Roots”, “Backstairs at the White House”, “Something about Amelia”, “North and South”, “Book I”, and “Brewster Place” (we all remember her in that!).

Soror Cole’s Broadway credits include “The School for Scandal”, “You Can’t Take It with You”, “The Merchant of Venice”, and “The National Health”.

Most recently, Soror Cole played the role of “Momma T” in “First Sunday,” with Ice Cube.

Soror Cole is an honorary member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
