Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Rho Zeta Omega Chapter, in conjunction with The PEARL Foundation, Inc., partnered with Designs by Lydia and The Home Depot Foundation to make a wish come true for Fox 5’s Freddie Mac Foundation’s Wednesday’s Child – Maya on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at the young girl’s new home in Stockbridge, GA.

An entire suite, consisting of a bedroom, playroom, and full bath received the makeover. There were hours of preparation prior to the execution to make this a reality.

Members of Alpha Kappa Alpha’s Rho Zeta Omega Chapter were humbled and excited to embark on this endeavor in support of one of its Social Justice and Human Rights program initiatives – Foster Care, and more specifically, Youth Aging out of Foster Care.

The room makeover aired on May 23, 2012 on Fox 5’s Wednesday’s Child segment.
