Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc will hold its Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference in Winston-Salem next year.
The 60th anniversary of the event will take place April 3-7 at the Benton Convention Center. Our five-day conference is expected to bring in 2,200 attendees
AKA Mid-Atlantic Regional Director, Dr. Linda H. Gilliam said in a press release, “It has been a decade since we graced the city with pink and green, and it is so appropriate to return for our 60th Anniversary.”
Candice W. Brown, president of the Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the local alumnae chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. based in Winston-Salem, also said “The Phi Omega chapter has been involved with the Winston-Salem community for 88 years and is proud to share Winston-Salem with its members from North Carolina and Virgina. We look forward to bringing thousands of successful, service minded women to Winston-Salem for an amazing event.”
